At Architectural Sign Group (ASG), we had the privilege of working with the NYC DOT on their landmark infrastructure project at the Kosciuszko Bridge in New York. Our scope included the design-engineering, fabrication, and installation of large-scale bridge identification and directional signage systems, custom-designed to meet the demanding visual, structural, and environmental standards of major transportation infrastructure.

Our deliverables included:

Engineered aluminum and steel signage units designed for high visibility and durability in outdoor, high-traffic, high-wind environments — mounted on the bridge structure for both driver wayfinding and transit legibility.

Precision fabrication of structural supports, bracketry, and mounting systems to integrate signage seamlessly with the bridge’s architecture and load-bearing elements.

Full coordination of logistics, scheduled installation, and on-site integration with the contractor and NYC DOT teams — ensuring the signage was delivered on time and aligned with the bridge opening and operational schedule.

Compliance with federal and state transportation signage standards, structural engineering requirements, and finish-performance criteria for exposure to weather, salt air, high traffic loads, and visual clarity from moving vehicles.

This project underscores ASG’s capability in large-scale transit infrastructure signage, bridging the gap between wayfinding, identity signage, and structural engineering for public transportation systems.
