At Architectural Sign Group (ASG), we partnered with the MTA Long Island Rail Road on the comprehensive signage program for the Stony Brook Station, delivering an integrated suite of identification and directional signage systems designed to serve both commuter and campus-adjacent users.

Our scope of work included:

Custom-fabricated exterior identification signage for the station’s façade and entrance zones, engineered for high visibility from adjacent roadways and parking areas.

Interior and platform way-finding signage featuring clear directional cues, robust materials and finishes suitable for high-traffic transit environments.

Full project management from concept through installation: including design development, workflow coordination with the station’s schedule, shop drawings, fabrication, logistics and on-site mounting with minimal disruption to commuter flows.

All signage systems built to the required durability, readability and accessibility standards typical of transit infrastructure—and specifically aligned with the functional demands of this commuter hub adjacent to a major university campus.

This project underscores ASG’s strength in transit signage systems, way-finding strategy, and station identity installations that enhance passenger experience and reinforce infrastructure branding.
